Daniela Segovia is the Executive Director of BVBIA – Maryland, where she leads the club’s day-to-day operations, strategic growth, and organizational development — ensuring every element of the organization reflects the values and vision BVBIA stands for.
With 17 years of experience in the construction industry, Daniela brings a strong foundation in project management, leadership, budget oversight, team building, and stakeholder communication — skills she now channels into building a club that operates with the same precision and purpose.
Beyond administration, Daniela is committed to cultivating a culture rooted in equity, access, and genuine opportunity. Under her direction, BVBIA – Maryland is not just a soccer club — it is a community.
As a soccer parent, she understands firsthand how quickly talent can be overlooked. Watching her own son earn a place on the BVBIA National Team two years in a row reaffirmed her belief that success in this sport requires far more than ability — it takes humility, excellence, and unwavering dedication. Those are the values she brings to BVBIA every day, and the ones she is committed to instilling in every player who walks through these doors.
Never give up, and always push forward — especially when times get tough.
Devin Payton brings over 25 years of player and coach development experience to BVBIA Maryland. Throughout his career, he has worked with players at every level — from grassroots development through ECNL and ODP — building a reputation as one of the most respected development coaches in the DMV region. Devin holds a USSF Pro B license and has coached youth futsal teams to victory in two US Futsal National Championships.
Prior to his coaching career, Devin played professional soccer in Brazil, throughout the United States, and on the US Men's Futsal National Team. He is fluent in Spanish.
At BVBIA Maryland, Devin oversees all technical curriculum and coaching standards across every age group. His philosophy centers on building technically complete, mentally resilient players who understand the game deeply — and who carry the character they develop on the field into everything they do.
Karen Sippel is Director of Club Operations at BVBIA Maryland, where she oversees the business, administrative, and communications infrastructure of the club. She brings more than 25 years of organizational leadership experience, including her current role as Managing Director of the Maryland Women's Business Center and prior work co-founding and scaling an international entrepreneurship nonprofit and 15 years as a strategic communications consultant.
Karen knows the youth travel soccer environment firsthand — as a parent of two competitive players and a former team manager — and helped to build BVBIA Maryland with that perspective in mind: a well-run club should be as organized and professional behind the scenes as it is on the field.
